Danish Music Awards Jazz
Danish Music Awards Jazz is the annual awardshow, that pays tribute to the Danish jazz-scene, both the musicians and the jazz-industry. It's an award show that honours the the best reocrds. In previous years, the DMA Jazz was a joint event with, among others IFPI, but the DMA Jazz 2011 was the done entirely by JazzDanmark.
The six award categories are:
- Best Danish Jazz Release of the Year
- Best Danish Vocal-jazz Release of the Year
- Best New Danish Jazz Artist of the Year
- Best Danish Jazz Composer of the Year
- Best Danish Cross-over Jazz Release of the Year
- Best 'Jazz for Children' Artist of the Year
In 2010 the four jazz-awards were:
- Danish Jazz release of the Year · winner: Jakob Bro "Balledeering" – Lovelands Records
- New Danish Jazz-musician of the Year · winner: August Rosenbaum "Beholder" - Gateway
- Danish Vocal-jazz release of the Year · winner: Sinne Eeg "Don't Be So Blue" – Red Dot Music
- Danish cross-over release of the Year · winner: Girls In Airports "Girls In Airports" - Gateway
