Last friday, this year poster for the Copenhagen Jazz Festival was released - and so was a bunch of the headliners for the summers festival which runs from July 5th-14th.

The long-awaited lineup of instructors is now ready - and as pr.tradition, it looks bloody great. Afrobeat-ledend Tony Allen, a re-visit from Joe Lovano and Ms. Silvano, the trumpet-phenomenon Dave Douglas and a number of other world-names, are ready to give the Danish jazz-environment a serious injection of inspiration, when Summer Session 2013 kicks of on August 4th.

Multitalented Tyshawn Sorey is the new Artist in Residence in Denmark for 2 months from 27 May to 11 August 2013. During this period, he will play, teaching, directing, composing and everything else in Denmark, and all interested musicians have the opportunity to collaborate with Tyshawn.
