The genre organisations Art Music Denmark, Jazz Danmark, ROSA and TEMPI are looking for a project manager with strong analytical skills to join our shared research department.

You will become a key member of a small, specialised analysis team that conducts analyses and research on the Danish music sector. As part of the role, you will lead one of the department’s larger analysis projects in close collaboration with the head of rnalysis. At the same time, you will contribute to the department’s other work, including the annual publication Dansk Musikliv i Tal.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on project management while also wanting to play an active role in the analytical work. The position is a one-year project appointment, with the possibility of extension.

About the position

The research department works to strengthen the knowledge base of the Danish music sector through analysis, research and communication. Our ambition is to make relevant knowledge more accessible and useful to music professionals and decision-makers. Our work includes both in-house analyses and the communication of existing knowledge through platforms such as musikdata.dk and the publication Dansk Musikliv i Tal.

The project appointment is connected to a major research project combining register data, surveys and qualitative methods. The project will contribute new knowledge about the Danish music sector. As project manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the project, as well as conducting the analysis and communicating its findings. You will work closely with the head of rnalysis and the project steering group, of which you will also be a member.

Your primary responsibilities

Among other things, you will:

• lead a major analysis project on the Danish music sector in collaboration with the head of research
• plan, coordinate and drive the various phases of the project
• conduct all or parts of the analysis using both qualitative and quantitative methods
• communicate the findings in a comprehensive written report
• contribute to the annual publication Dansk Musikliv i Tal, which collects and communicates knowledge about the Danish music sector
• contribute to the analysis department’s other research, analysis and communication activities.

We imagine that you

• have experience leading processes and projects from development through implementation
• have solid experience with qualitative methods and, preferably, quantitative analysis as well
• have experience designing and conducting research of a high professional standard
• work in a structured manner and are able to prioritise tasks independently
• enjoy collaborating with a wide range of project partners
• have a basic knowledge of the Danish music sector
• are able to communicate complex analyses clearly, both in writing and verbally.

About the genre organisations

Art Music Denmark, Jazz Danmark, ROSA and TEMPI are four independent genre organisations working to develop the Danish music sector and strengthen opportunities for Danish musicians both nationally and internationally. The organisations collaborate through a shared Knowledge Department that produces analyses, research and knowledge communication for the benefit of the entire music sector.

Practical information

The position is a full-time, 37-hour-per-week project appointment for one year, with the possibility of extension. Salary according to qualifications. The position is based at our office in Copenhagen, with the possibility of working from home.
