Author, musician, outertainer and more, TS Høeg, together with publisher Multivers, will release a four-volume work in 2026 on experimental jazz, rock, and everything in between. A broad book about niche music, so to speak. Readers will gain insight into some of the most overlooked parts of Duke Ellington’s and Miles Davis’ careers, the history of Danish No Wave from 1975–2025, portraits of the most important musicians in TS’ own jazz history, theories, tricks, and other far-reaching ideas for the emerging musician, and much more.

In connection with the book release and Jazz Danmark’s Dansk Jazz 100 År project, TS Høeg and Jazz Danmark are publishing the standalone release jazzinistisk jubilæum – 1·2·3 & så hurra til 100 års danerjazz. A collection of exclusive texts that stand on their own and are not included in the forthcoming four-volume work. The book serves as a parallel publication and a concentrated introduction to Høeg’s universe, with a particular focus on jazz.

We are celebrating the release, along with a summer full of jazz and festivals, with a reception at Beat Café, Enghave Plads 13, Copenhagen on Thursday 9 July from 3:00–4:30 pm. Visitors can pick up a copy of the book, and TS Høeg himself will give a short performance. The perfect afternoon before the city fills with jazz concerts. Free beer for the first arrivals.

From the oldest old comrades to jazz’s next waves

TS Høeg plays, speaks, and writes in a voice entirely his own. This is unfiltered Høeg at full blast, giving readers insight into the so-called oldest old comrades – Fessor, Nulle, and Hugo Rasmussen – his own encounters with some of jazz’s great giants, reflections on and experiences from Copenhagen’s major jazz venues through the years – the two incarnations of Montmartre and Jazzhouse – as well as essays on what is meant by the avant-garde and on jazz’s past, present, and next waves.
