Do you work with jazz for children? Then the children’s jazz network might be for you.

The network is a platform for musicians and other stakeholders involved in children’s jazz who want to exchange experiences on concert formats, communication, touring, and funding. The network aims to inspire and open up new ideas for how the children’s jazz field can be developed and further expanded.

The network was born out of a dialogue meeting with children’s jazz stakeholders

JazzDanmark established the network based on a dialogue meeting with musicians and other professionals working in children’s jazz. One of the key conclusions from the meeting was the need for a network to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing within the field. The first meeting took place on March 13, 2025.

Time and Place

The upcoming meeting is on September 11, 2025, from 15:00 to 17:30

The meeting is free, and everyone interested is welcome. For participants who live more than 25 km away, JazzDanmark offers reimbursement for travel costs (cheapest public transport).

What to Expect

At the meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Present your own projects and experiences with children’s jazz

• Discuss challenges and find shared solutions

• Contribute ideas for future activities and initiatives in the network

The network also aims to promote the visibility of children’s jazz and inspire collaboration.

Can I attend online?

You can participate online if, for specific reasons, you’re unable to attend in person. You can indicate this in the registration form. The network meeting is planned as an in-person event, so there will be limited access to informal networking and group work if you join online. Thank you for your understanding.
