Curious about opportunities in the London jazz scene? Join our webinar

Jazz Danmark invites participants from our recent London study trip to share their experiences with curious Danish musicians and managers.

How do you navigate the British jazz scene in 2026? Which venues and key figures define the scene right now? How do you best establish the right connections?

As part of the Sounds of Denmark in London project, three selected participants went on a tailored study trip in November 2025. The trip was curated by London-based Danish bassist and composer Jasper Høiby and British manager and Sounds of Denmark festival coordinator Sue Edwards, providing unique insights into the British jazz scene and industry.

We have invited the participants to share their key takeaways and concrete experiences in a webinar on Monday the 26th of January. You will meet manager Peter Bek, manager Ceyda Yasar, and musician Christian Holm-Svendsen. Jazz Danmark’s Director Eva Frost will moderate the webinar, and study trip co-host Jasper Høiby will also participate.

The webinar will cover:

  • Practical advice for musicians and industry professionals looking to bring their projects to London.
  • The biggest differences between working in Denmark and the UK.
  • Insights into current movements and trends in London.

The webinar is open to everyone, whether you work professionally in music or simply wish to learn more about the British jazz scene. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the participants.
