Curious about touring and project opportunities in Canada? Join us for a morning meeting
Jazz Denmark and Buckingjam Palace Calgary invite you to a morning meeting focused on networking and sharing insights about the Canadian jazz scene.
Wednesday, 25 June 2025, 9:30–11:00 at Jazz Denmark’s office, Frederiksberg Allé 17, 1820 Frederiksberg.
Are you interested in connecting with the Canadian creative music community?
Danish and Canadian partners have collaborated for years. Most recently, Jazz Denmark visited Toronto and Calgary as part of Nordic Bridges and the JazzCamp for Girls project, which made its Canadian debut at the acclaimed venue and residency space Buckingjam Palace in Calgary. This project led to valuable connections on the Canadian jazz scene – connections we now wish to share with the Danish music community.
Meet the founder of Buckingjam Palace and manager of The Ostara Project
Lisa Buck, founder and director of Buckingjam Palace in Calgary, Alberta, will be in Denmark as part of a professional visit during the early days of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. We now invite interested parties to meet her and gain insight into the opportunities in the Canadian jazz ecosystem. Lisa Buck was also instrumental in launching Jazz Camp for Girls in Canada and is a driving force behind The Ostara Project – a high-profile touring initiative highlighting professional female jazz musicians from across Canada.
The meeting will offer valuable knowledge for musicians, managers, bookers, and others curious about the Canadian jazz market and collaborative opportunities with Canadian professionals.
Join us for coffee and networking
This is also a chance to enjoy morning coffee with the Jazz Denmark team and meet others working internationally with music. Participation is free.
