250 audience members and jazz professionals from around the world can look forward to performances by Kristin Korb Trio, Nana Rashid, and OTOOTO on Friday, April 12, in Bremen.

Danish Clubnight presents three bands at jazzahead! 2024

As part of Europe’s largest jazz trade fair, JazzDanmark is once again hosting Danish Clubnight at the historic venue Lila Eule in Bremen. Around 250 audience members and jazz professionals from all over the world can look forward to performances by Kristin Korb Trio, Nana Rashid, and OTOOTO on Friday, April 12.

jazzahead! is one of the world’s largest jazz trade fairs, attracting more than 3,000 participants from the international jazz scene. The event, held in Bremen, Germany, is both a showcase festival and a traditional trade fair featuring over 100 exhibition stands.

Kristin Korb Trio

In the hands of Kristin Korb Trio, the Great American Songbook transforms into mainstream jazz at its finest. With Magnus Hjorth on piano and Snorre Kirk on drums, Korb delivers surprising, innovative, and heartfelt interpretations that bring the greatest songs of history into the present. For the Danish Clubnight concert, Andreas Svendsen will replace Kirk on drums.

OTOOTO

OTOOTO is known for its melodic approach, velvety horns, soaring synths, and a sound that is both sophisticated, danceable, and technically brilliant. The band’s music shines equally well on stage, on the radio, and across their impressive discography—their third album in just four years will be released in 2024.

Nana Rashid

One of the fastest-rising stars on the Danish jazz scene in recent years, Nana Rashid has captivated audiences with her soulful and intense album Music for Betty, which has received high praise from jazz critics and gained attention in major media outlets. She was awarded new jazz artist of the year at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2024, where she also performed.

Danish jazz at Bremen’s oldest jazz club

For the third time, Lila Eule will set the stage for JazzDanmark’s Clubnight. In previous years, the venue welcomed over 250 guests throughout the evening, most of whom were Danish and international industry professionals. The Danish Clubnight will take place on Friday, April 12, 2024. Concerts begin at 8:00 PM and conclude with a nightclub session featuring Lila Eule’s experienced DJs.

Lila Eule has been a gathering place for Bremen’s youth since 1959—originally showcasing the rebellious jazz music of the time. Today, the venue serves as a live music space with connections to all corners of the music world. This makes it a perfect setting for the diverse and expansive selection of Danish jazz that will be presented at JazzDanmark’s Clubnight.
