DMA Blues 2025 is open for submissions
On August 13, Danish blues will be celebrated at the Danish Music Awards Blues 2025 at Turbinen in Randers. Submissions are now open!
On August 13, Danish blues will be celebrated at the Danish Music Awards Blues 2025 at Turbinen in Randers. The evening will feature award presentations and a spectacular concert with a 10-piece all-star band led by blues veteran Ole Frimer.
Now, you have the chance to help ensure that this year’s blues releases and talents receive the recognition they deserve. You can submit nominations in the following categories:
Danish Blues Release of the Year – submit here
Blues Live Award – submit here
Out of the Blue (new talent) – submit here
Hoochie Coochie Man/Woman of the Year (enthusiast award) – submit here
Deadline for submissions is May 1st.
A band that covers every corner of the blues
The award ceremony will be accompanied by a 10-piece all-star band, led by blues veteran Ole Frimer. Alongside artists such as James Loveless, Sahra da Silva and HC Bugge, he will take the audience on a rich musical journey through the many shades of the blues – from old school and gospel to fusion and jazz.
DMA Blues is organized by ROSA, Tempi, JazzDanmark, and Turbinen in collaboration with Jysk Blues Netværk and with support from Randers Festuge, the Danish Musicians’ Union, and the Danish Artists’ Union.
