DMA Jazz returns to Bremen Teater on December 7
After four great years at Store VEGA and Musikhuset Aarhus respectively, DMA Jazz returns to Bremen Teater in 2026. Mark your calendar and submit releases from today.
On December 7, 2026, Danish Music Awards Jazz will fill Bremen Teater with an unforgettable show packed with award presentations and truly special musical performances.
During the show, eight statuettes and one special award will be presented, and the stage will be taken over by a selection of current names from the Danish jazz scene. It will be an evening full of music and celebration at one of Copenhagen’s central venues.
In the hours leading up to the show, we will once again host the country’s largest industry day for the jazz scene, jazz+, which this year will take place at Kolme right next to Bremen Teater.
Mark your calendar for Monday, December 7, and follow Jazz Danmark on social media, their website, and newsletter. Here, we will continuously reveal details about ticket sales, the program, nominees, industry activities, and much more.
Back to familiar, intimate surroundings
Danish Music Awards Jazz had Bremen Teater as its permanent home for many years up to and including 2021. Jazz Danmark’s director, Eva Frost, is pleased that the show is returning to this venue:
“DMA Jazz is a show that needs to evolve from year to year—both within the jazz landscape and in the way the show is designed. We have had three great years at Store VEGA and one truly beautiful show at Musikhuset Aarhus, but now we feel it is time to return to Bremen Teater. We look forward to experiencing the intimate atmosphere of the beautiful theatre hall again, which, in our opinion, suits both an award show and jazz exceptionally well.”
