Jazz Danmark presented, before the New Year, the program for the celebration of Dansk Jazz 100 År, which throughout 2026 will feature more than 100 events across the country. Below you can read about a selection of events, all of which take place as part of the nationwide Vinterjazz festival.

From jazz at children’s eye level via Coltrane and all the way back to 1926

På Tirsda’ På Tirsda’ presents jazz history at children’s eye level on both Amager and Bornholm. The two 100-year anniversary celebrants John Coltrane and Edith Södergran are honored with concerts by, respectively, Copenhagen Jazzexperience and Anna Kruse Trio. The legacy of Django Reinhardt—and not least his great influence on Danish jazz history—is celebrated at Bartof Station, Frederiksberg. The young ensemble Bart Lewis JUBILEE presents a concert that explores the very earliest Danish jazz from 1926. All this and much more can jazz listeners across the country experience during Vinterjazz 2026.

Throughout 2026, Dansk Jazz 100 År presents events across the country featuring musicians and organizers spanning genres, generations, and scenes.
