Since 2020, JazzDanmark, on behalf of the William Demant Foundation, has awarded 2.750.000 DKK to 164 inspiring projects through the Jazz Fund. We are proud to announce that this important support for Danish jazz and related genres will continue for the next three years.
Jazz Grants Continue
In addition to funding for the Jazz Fund, the grant also includes financing for two jazz awards, which are presented annually at the Tivoli Jazz Prize. The Orchestra of the Year and Musician of the Year will receive 30,000 DKK and 20,000 DKK, respectively, and are nominated and selected by the Jazz Fund’s selection committee. These two grants have been a tradition since 2020 and were initially awarded at the Danish Music Awards Jazz in the first three years.
Anyone Can Apply for the Jazz Fund
Do you have a deserving idea within Danish jazz or related genres? We encourage you to apply for funding from the Jazz Fund. There are two annual deadlines, and the next deadline is Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:59 PM. You can apply for amounts between 5,000 DKK and 35,000 DKK.
The Jazz Fund focuses on projects that highlight and strengthen jazz and its related genres. Please note that we do not support expenses for education, course participation, transportation, or renovations. For these needs, we refer you to JazzDanmark’s transportation support schemes and other funds. Applications must be submitted before the project start date, and projects must take place after the application deadline.
The William Demant Foundation’s overarching purpose is to support projects that improve the quality of life for children and adults through cultural and social activities – primarily projects involving the sense of hearing, such as through music. Therefore, projects applying for the Jazz Fund must also align with this purpose.

How to Apply?
The next application deadline is March 11, 2024, at 11:59 PM. The application must be completed using the Jazz Fund’s application form and include a budget prepared using the Jazz Fund’s budget template.
