Join our networking meeting with Polish musicians and industry professionals at DKPL22

Jazz Danmark invites you to participate in a project development workshop in connection with the transnational project DKPL22 on 18 May 2022 at 13:00-16:00. The purpose of the workshop is to strengthen the already strong jazz connection between Denmark and Poland.

DKPL22 Project Bridge

JazzDanmark, in collaboration with Kultur(a), Polish Danish Jazz Days, the Polish Embassy in Denmark and the House, has invited Polish musicians and industry professionals from festivals, venues and media to participate in the DKPL22 Project Bridge, where JazzDanmark facilitates a workshop for Polish and Danish industry professionals.

At the workshop, there will be a series of inspirational presentations where you will hear about projects that have been successfully exported to Poland as well as possible project collaborations. Based on these presentations, JazzDanmark facilitates a workshop where there will be an opportunity to explore collaboration opportunities, common interests and exchange of project ideas.

What: Workshop with inspirational presentations and the opportunity to explore collaboration opportunities and exchange project ideas
When: Wednesday 18 May, 13.00-16.00
Where: House: KBH, Balsalen, Rådhusstræde 13, 1466 Copenhagen

DKPL22 in Copenhagen on 17-19 May
The interaction between the Polish and Danish jazz scene has long been one of the strongest jazz connections in Europe. Since Poland’s accession to the EU in 2004, several Polish musicians have participated in visiting programs, and many young Polish musicians have studied at the Danish conservatories. Several musical constellations and projects have been created on the basis of this, and there is therefore a fertile basis for expanding the collaboration through new exciting projects and musical collaborations. We are exploring these possibilities for DKPL22, which, in addition to the workshop, will offer concerts, film screenings and networking with the Polish visitor program.

DKPL22 takes place in connection with the festival Polish Danish Jazz Days, where there are concerts on both 17 and 18 May. There are thus plenty of opportunities to listen to music and network during the days and hours around the DKPL22 Project Bridge.

The music program for Polish Danish Jazz Days is:
Tuesday 17/5:
Licak/Andersson/Sommer Trio (PL/DK)
Artur Tuznik Sextet (PL/DK/SE)
Wednesday 18/5:
Tomasz Dabrowski & Individual Beings (PL/DK/SE)
Nelle Trio (PL/NO)

Thank you for the support
