Are you considering sharing experiences and coordinating joint bookings with other concert promoters? Then this webinar might be for you. On Monday, 2 November, from 5–6 pm CET, Knutpunkt will explain how they have built a booking partnership between 34 concert promoters and venues in Sweden.

How do they do it in Sweden?

Knutpunkt is a network of jazz clubs, venues and festivals, primarily located in southern Sweden. Its members work with jazz and improvised music and plan tours together, allowing artists to perform at several venues and with multiple promoters on the same tour. The network is coordinated by Göteborg Artist Center.

At the webinar, Maria Rylander, Knutpunkt coordinator, will explain how the network was established and how it has developed. She will also go into the practical side of the process: What considerations do they take into account, and what challenges have they addressed through their organisation? These include, for example:

• Genre considerations
• Booking schedules and calendars
• Fundraising
• Logistics

You will also hear from selected Knutpunkt members, who will share their experiences of being an individual jazz club or concert promoter participating in the joint booking partnership.

The webinar is aimed at concert promoters who are interested in working with joint tour planning. You will leave with inspiration and practical experience that can be useful if you are considering starting a booking partnership in Denmark.

Meet Knutpunkt at Jazz+ in Copenhagen

On Monday, 7 December, you can meet Maria Rylander and several Swedish concert promoters when they come to Jazz+ in Copenhagen. We will host a facilitated networking session focusing on sharing experiences and exploring opportunities for Nordic booking partnerships. You will also meet other Danish concert promoters interested in the topic.

In connection with the event, we offer to cover the cost of the cheapest available public transport for members of the Danish jazz network.
