Are you attending jazzahead!, or are you still considering whether to sign up? JazzDanmark invites you to the Musician Relay – Jazzahead! Edition on Friday, March 24, where you and your fellow participants will have the chance to meet each other before we all head to Bremen, Germany, for the world’s largest jazz trade fair.

The day’s program will provide useful information about jazzahead! from the JazzDanmark secretariat. Afterward, you and your fellow participants will have plenty of opportunities to discuss the various possibilities at the trade fair, how to best prepare for your participation, and how to make the most of your time while there.

Everyone is welcome to sign up for the Danish stand, which JazzDanmark hosts at jazzahead! Last year, 75 Danish participants signed up for JazzDanmark’s stand, making it the largest stand at the trade fair. Learn more about how to register for jazzahead! here.

What is the Musician Relay?

The Musician Relay is an opportunity for musicians to meet, share knowledge and experiences, and discuss various topics. JazzDanmark facilitates the conversation, and the project has been running since 2019 with the aim of building bridges and creating exchanges between musicians who don’t already know each other. This special Musician Relay event is now open to everyone who is registered for this year’s jazzahead!, as well as potential new trade fair participants, including jazz professionals (labels, concert organizers, etc.). If you are traveling from other parts of Denmark, JazzDanmark offers to cover your round-trip transport (JazzDanmark will reimburse public transport costs or fuel. We do not cover per-kilometer expenses).
