New conditions for musician fees in Den Nationale Transportstøtteordning
New fee intervals in the transport support scheme from 1 April 2026 set by Projektstøtteudvalget for Musik in response to the new minimum tariff.
We can now inform you how the Statens Kunstfonds Projektstøtteudvalg for Musik relates to the increase in DMF’s minimum tariff as of April 1, 2026, in accordance with the criteria for the transport support scheme.
From this date, the fee range for musicians is set at a minimum of DKK 2,600 and a maximum of DKK 3,800 per musician, which venues or concert organizers must pay in order for the musician to be eligible for transport support. In 2025, the range was DKK 2,520.93 to DKK 3,687.
It has been necessary to establish an independent fee interval, as the minimum fee previously followed DMF’s minimum tariff, which will increase to DKK 3,150 as of 1 April 2026.
The interval may be reassessed from 2027
Chair of Projektstøtteudvalget for Musik, Lena Brostrøm, says:
“We have chosen to set a fee interval for musician fees in the transport support scheme, so that the minimum fee in 2026 will be DKK 2,600 and the maximum will be increased to DKK 3,800. This minimum is lower than DMF’s newly announced minimum tariff of DKK 3,150 as of 1 April 2026. We have set this interval to allow musicians to honour agreements they have already entered into for concerts, which are naturally already booked with venues and festivals throughout 2026. We will of course monitor developments throughout 2026 and initiate dialogue with relevant stakeholders regarding a possible adjustment of the interval from 2027.”
The scheme is funded by Kulturministeriets Musikhandlingsplan, and the requirements and funding criteria are determined by Statens Kunstfonds Projektstøtteudvalg for Musik.
Jazz Danmark administers the scheme across all genres on behalf of Statens Kunstfond, which distributes DKK 5.23 million annually.
