International Jazz Platform is both a festival featuring numerous concerts and workshops, as well as a conference and meeting place for the jazz industry. Each year, more than 100 musicians and industry professionals gather in Łódź to collaborate and share experiences. If you work professionally with Danish jazz—for example as a booker, manager, or agent—you are therefore invited to apply for one of the four spots offered by Jazz Danmark.

You should be prepared for an intensive working program during the trip. In addition, you will have the opportunity to experience concerts with groundbreaking artists and meet musicians and presenters from across Europe. Jazz Danmark will cover travel expenses and arrange accommodation during International Jazz Platform.

Would you like to participate as a musician?

The open call above is for industry professionals, but International Jazz Platform also offers a workshop for jazz musicians aged 18–35. This year, 40 young musicians will be selected to take part in workshops, discussions, and networking activities.

Applications for the musician workshop must be submitted via the platform’s own application form here (deadline: 30 April). IJP covers musicians’ travel, accommodation, and meals in connection with the workshop.

Danish Polish Jazz Network

The collaboration with International Jazz Platform is part of Jazz Danmark’s Danish Polish Jazz Network. The network project was launched in 2022 as a natural extension of the already existing connection between the Danish and Polish jazz scenes. Danish Polish Jazz Network aims to foster more and stronger collaborations between jazz professionals in the respective countries.
