Third Time at the Popular Lila Eule

For the third consecutive year, the popular Danish Clubnight will take place at the legendary venue Lila Eule in Bremen as part of the renowned international showcase festival Jazzahead. Danish bands and solo artists are now invited to apply to perform at the Danish Clubnight.
Register for the Festival to Apply

To be eligible to apply, you must register as a participant at the Danish stand at Jazzahead 2025 and plan to attend the entire festival, which runs from April 24–26, 2025. See the guidelines below for more details. Additionally, it is advantageous if you or your band have international relevance in April 2025, such as a recent or upcoming release, an upcoming tour in an international market, or similar achievements.
Fee and Expense Support

As a participant in the Danish Clubnight, JazzDanmark will provide:

• A performance fee for the concert.
• A grant to help cover hotel and travel expenses associated with participation.
• Apply to Perform at Danish Clubnight 2025
• You can apply to perform at Danish Clubnight by completing this application form.

Selected artists will receive:

• An opportunity to present your music live to industry professionals from around the world as well as a local audience in Bremen.
• A mentorship program with JazzDanmark to help you make the most of your participation.
• Access to the festival for the bandleader and manager/booking agent.
• A fee of DKK 2,500 per musician for the concert.
• Three nights’ accommodation at B&B Hotel Bremen-Altstadt for the bandleader and manager/booking agent.
• One night’s accommodation at B&B Hotel Bremen-Altstadt for the remaining band members.
• Reimbursement of travel expenses up to DKK 1,000 per musician and manager/booking agent, upon submission of receipts. Note: JazzDanmark does not cover flight expenses between Denmark and Germany.

Application Requirements:

• The bandleader and/or a manager, booking agent, etc., must be available to attend the full festival from April 24–26, 2025.
• Prior to the festival, applicants must attend a joint workshop for all selected musicians on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 13:00.
• Applicants are responsible for organizing and coordinating their own transportation.
• The venue does not provide a backline, and space is limited. Musicians are expected to bring and manage their own equipment.

All applications will be reviewed by JazzDanmark’s team, along with two international industry professionals with in-depth knowledge of the Danish jazz scene and experience at Jazzahead.

Expect to receive a response to your application by mid-December 2024.

The Danish stand at Jazzahead! 2025 will host a variety of networking events, drawing hundreds of international industry professionals and musicians for informal exchanges. The stand’s program will be announced well in advance, allowing you to schedule your meetings around these activities and ensure you don’t miss any opportunities.
