Jazz+

New knowledge and networking

Each year, before of the DMA Jazz Awards, JazzDanmark hosts an industry-focused day program called Jazz+. The program consists of three hours of panel discussions, workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities, designed to serve as the jazz community’s natural meeting point and a catalyst for collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Denmark.

The goal of Jazz+ is to encourage the industry to engage in dialogue and collaborate across roles and expertise. Through our other networking initiatives, such as Musikerstafetten, Jazznetværket, Labelnetværket, and others, JazzDanmark has observed that the Danish jazz scene could improve its ability to achieve results through cross-sector collaboration. It is precisely in these interactions that tangible initiatives and successful outcomes arise.

In recent years, we have seen interest from musicians at all levels—from MGK students to professional jazz artists with decades of experience—as well as from venue operators, ranging from small, independent clubs supported by honoraria to managers of regional concert venues, festival organizers, record labels, journalists, and even a handful of jazz enthusiasts with a general interest in the scene’s well-being and conditions.

Participation in Jazz+ is free for anyone interested.

Super good and relevant contributions!
