jazzahead!

Jazzahead is a traditional trade fair with stands from around the world, a showcase festival, and a conference with jazz-related presentations and debates.

Make new contacts from all over the world – a train ride away from Denmark

There are excellent opportunities to make new connections, whether you are participating as a musician, booker, manager, record label, or project organization or association. Taking part in Jazzahead is an investment, and experiences from past participants show that even if you don’t come home with big contracts after your first visit to the fair, you will have already laid the foundation for a network that can be expanded in the years to come – and it’s here that opportunities arise.

Danish Clubnight!

Since 2015, JazzDanmark has organized its own showcase evening as part of Jazzahead’s Clubnight umbrella, which brings together a wide range of events at various venues in Bremen. As a participant at the Danish stand, you will receive a reduced registration fee, as well as free access to the facilities we offer at the stand. Registration for Jazzahead always takes place in the fall – keep an eye on our website and newsletter for updates.

Background

Jazzahead started as a German jazz fair in 2006. From the beginning, there was international support and interest in the fair as a meeting point for the European jazz industry, and JazzDanmark was involved as early as 2007.

New partner country every year

Since 2011, there has been a partner country featured at Jazzahead each year, which receives special focus at the fair. In 2014, Denmark was the partner country, and JazzDanmark was responsible for presenting a wide range of Danish acts, including Blood, Sweat, Drum+Bass, Ibrahim Electric, and Girls in Airports.
