Strong jazz presence at Kulturmødet Mors 2025
Jazz Danmark is once again part of the programme when Kulturmødet opens on 21 August on Mors.
We are proud to present a series of musical experiences, inspiring conversations, and strong collaborations — all showcasing jazz’s relevance and diversity in today’s cultural landscape.
Musical Highlights
- Mona’s Nordic Jazz Evening – Thursday, 19:00–23:45
Join us for an evening of musical togetherness and improvisational celebration — the perfect conclusion to a day of talks and debates. Experience tomorrow’s Nordic jazz stars performing new works composed during Jazz9tus’ Nordic Composer Camp in the week leading up to Kulturmødet. What does it sound like when young musicians from Jazz Danmark’s worldwide project JazzCamp for Girls take the stage with courage and musical curiosity? During Kulturmødet, you can also experience concerts by DR Big Band, Norwegian multi-artist Øyunn, and the experimental ensemble Tabloid — all with strong jazz roots and open, exploratory approaches.
Debates and Conversations with Jazz Voices
- From Data to Change: Where Does the Potential Lie for the Individual, the Organisation, and Policy? – Thursday, 17:00–18:00
Project Manager Morten Ogstrup shares insights into how data and knowledge can be actively applied in the work with art and culture. Join an inspiring conversation about music’s power as a catalyst for Nordic unity. How can art — and music in particular — help strengthen a shared Nordic identity?
