The Augustinus Foundation supports Danish jazz with a million-dollar grant
The Augustinus Foundation has granted DKK 1.85 million to JazzDanmark to support the strengthening of the professional Danish jazz scene from 2024 to 2026
The Jazz Network, Summer Session, and Danish Jazz 100 Years Secured for the Future
JazzDanmark extends a heartfelt thanks to the Augustinus Foundation, which has granted DKK 1.85 million to support JazzDanmark’s efforts in strengthening the professional Danish jazz scene from 2024 to 2026. This will ensure that more people across Denmark can experience jazz of the highest quality.
The grant secures annual funding for projects like the Jazz Network, Summer Session, and a brand-new initiative under the banner *“Danish Jazz 100 Years”* through 2026. Additionally, it allows JazzDanmark to further enhance its data and documentation efforts in the jazz sector. The remaining funding for these projects is covered by operational support from the Danish Arts Foundation, while Summer Session also benefits from support by Koda Culture, the Beckett Foundation, the Toyota Foundation, and the Goethe-Institut.
